1887	Umekichi Itoh starts an oriental medicine wholesale business in Doshomachi, Osaka City (currently Chuo-ku, Osaka City).
1941	Business is suspended due to the war.
March 1966	Yukichi Itoh rebuilds the oriental medicine wholesale business in Kamikosaka, Higashiosaka City. Besides the wholesaling of natural medicine raw materials, he also starts the manufacture and sale of health tea.
December 1973	The company relocates to Wakaehigashi-machi, Higashiosaka City due to the expansion of operations.
July 1976	The company reorganizes into Itoh Kanpo Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and starts the manufacture of pharmaceutical products at the same time.
June 1986	Operations Division is established (Head Office - Nishiiwata, Higashiosaka City).
October 1986	Capital is increased to 24 million yen.
April 1990	Mizuhai Factory is established (Mizuhai, Higashiosaka City). Start-to-finish manufacture of oriental medicine extracts preparations and food product extracts commences.
August 1990	Ikeshima Factory is established (Shinikeshima, Higashiosaka City). Start-to-finish manufacture of natural medicines commences.
December 1990	A Distribution Center is established (Kano, Higashiosaka City).
October 1991	Kano Factory (currently Kano No.2 Factory) is established (on the Higashiosaka City Kano Industrial Estate). Start-to-finish manufacture of various types of bath atditives commences.
May 1994	The Distribution Center is relocated (Kano, Higashiosaka City).
September 1994	Manufacture of soft capsules is started at Mizuhai Factory.
February 2000	Hangzhou Itoh Kanpo Supplement Food Co., Ltd. is established in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China. Manufacture of soft capsules is started.
May 2000	Higashiosaka Factory (Aramotonishi, Higashiosaka City) is established. Some of the facilities of Mizuhai Factory are relocated to the new factory and the manufacture of soft capsules, cosmetics and soft drinks is started.
September 2000	Kano Factory (Kano, Higashiosaka City) is established. Mizuhai Factory, Wakae Factory and Ikeshima Factory are relocated and consolidated at the new factory and operations are started there as a general factory performing start-to-finish production of natural medicines, oriental medicine extract preparations, health food products, tea, quasi-drug products and cosmetics.
June 2001	Manufacture of hard capsules is started at Higashiosaka Factory.
January 2003	Hangzhou Itoh Kanpo Supplement Food Co., Ltd. is relocated and starts operations as a general factory producing health food products, quasi-drug products and cosmetics.
June 2003	Tsingtao Itoh Kanpo Food Co., Ltd. is established in Tsingtao City, Shandong Province.
January 2005	Head Office is relocated to 2-chome Nagatahigashi, Higashiosaka City.
February 2005	Quality management system (ISO 9001) certification is acquired at Kano Factory and Higashiosaka Factory.
July 2005	Capital is increased to 2,085.9 million yen.
December 2008	JIHFS GMP for Health Foods certification is acquired at Higashiosaka Factory.
July 2010	JHNFA GMP for dietary supplements certification is acquired at Kano Factory.
September 2013	Manufacture of pills and sugar coating processing is started at Kano Factory.
November 2014	Capital is decreased to 99 million yen.
